Difference Maker, Owner, and Coach

A 2012 graduate of Lyndon State College (now NVU), Brad studied exercise science, minored in psychology, and earned two National Strength and Conditioning (NSCA) certificates. Post graduation, Brad cut his teeth at a local gym for the next eighteen months before moving on to coach in Indianapolis under head coach, Tyler Miller, of Force Barbell. In 2016, he settled back into the Northeast Kingdom. This move led Brad to realize the need for personal and athletic development centered around bettering the community, and the idea for KILOS was born!

Kelly Parker – NSCA-CPT, NSCA-CSCS, USAW-I
Coach

Kelly is a certified personal trainer credentialed through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She recently received certification as a strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Kelly is also completing a B.S. in Exercise Science at Northern Vermont University-Lyndon.

Kelly’s training career began in 2015 with preparation for a Tough Mudder. Soon after, training became a staple for recovery from back surgery. Her preparation and recovery has become daily practice as she hones her competitive edge in powerlifting. When she’s not in the gym, you can find Kelly camping with her family, coaching youth sports, fighting fires with the West Burke Fire Department, or serving as the VT State Chair for USA Powerlifting. Through her passion for coaching, Kelly believes the gym is a place for everyone. She enjoys meeting team members where they are and working together to achieve their goals.

Ian Strange – NSCA-CSCS, NSCA-TSAC, Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science

Ian is a 2019 graduate of Lyndon State College, now NVU, with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Ian is pursuing his Master’s of Strength and Conditioning and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Ian originally began pursuing a degree in physical therapy only to realize that his passion for movement and teaching lay outside the clinical spectrum.

Ian’s training began in high school, primarily to improve team sports performance and individual events for track and field. Training, explicitly lifting weights, became a staple of competing and inspired his choice of major in college. When Ian is not training he enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, and gaming.
